Speaking truth in love-not an option but a “must”

Welcome!

Today: Speaking truth in love-not an option but a “must”

Passage: Eph 4

14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.  (Eph 4, NIV)-emphasis added

Instead of being infants all the time, the Apostle encourages believers to get mature and grow up to the level of Christ, who is our role model

Instead of having the cunning craftiness and deceitful scheming of men, he is encouraging the believer to speak the truth in love, thereby growing to maturity in Christ, who is the head

Today, there is so much deception and mask-wearing among the leadership

It is so difficult, so rare to see people who speak the truth in love

At least we can be one that speaks the truth, in love

When people do wrong things, we better tell them the truth, in love

When we know someone who is closer to us is going in the wrong direction and we keep quiet about it, we will have to answer God

The word of God is the absolute truth. We need to share this truth with others.

When I go to a house or a Church and get an opportunity to share, I like to tell them the truth, rather than hide the truth

It may be a Church/person that feels good about themselves. But when God reveals to me the true picture,  I have a responsibility to let them know that

They may not feel very comfortable in the first place, but that’s O.K

At the same time, if I saw something good, I must appreciate that as well

I want God to be comfortable with me and vice-versa

True Christian love involves telling the truth-in sincere love, even when it hurts.

The other day, I was in a church where a few thousands attend

A lady was preaching powerfully about the mission of that church

She was saying that the mission of that Church was not pleasing people but to make sure that they are productive. She almost insisted that each person attending that church have the responsibility to have the birth pangs of bringing something new, out of them. It was a power-packed message for over an hour!

Are we growing or still in the same place we started?

If we claim to be growing, what is the proof?

Are we proclaiming truth like mature people? Are we encouraging/instructing somebody? Are we taking responsibility?

God bless you. Check your spiritual growth.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for being my role model. Help me to get mature and be a role model to others in my life and ministry. Help me to get rid of all the masks and be real and transparent. Amen
