Chosen before creation; revealed in His time!

Welcome!

Today: Chosen before creation; revealed in His time!

Passage: 1 Peter 1

20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. 21 Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God. (1 Peter 1, NIV84) –emphasis added

I have read somewhere that satan has much patience. He plans things way in advance and waits for the opportunity to “get” the child of God

But our God is way ahead of that. He planned things even before He created the earth. God had you and me in His mind way ahead of time!

However, God has His specific times for revealing the things He has planned

Jesus came into the world at the appointed time. Each and every prayer of ours will be answered by God at His appointed time. We need to wait. But we also need to fight in prayer for those which the devil is trying to block

12 Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. 13 But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia. (Dan 10, NIV)

6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5, NIV)-emphasis added

10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. (James 4, NIV)

So, when the answers to our prayers are delayed, don’t think God has forsaken. Instead, keep on giving thanks and glory to God.If we think that we are so lucky that things work very well, just know that God was working behind the scene!

Look at the life of Joseph and David in the O.T; they went through real hardships before they reached the pinnacle of their life. After they reached there, they did not waste time to pay back their enemies, but they went ahead doing what they had to do. What is expected of us is to be faithful and keep moving, instead of standing still!

When the Israelites were in the wilderness forty years, they were grumbling, murmuring, complaining. Nothing positive-all negative came out of them. Little did they know that God was watching and that God was in charge.

Aren’t we somewhat like them – complaining about the things we don’t have?

If we want to be blessed of God, we better stop grumbling and start praising!

Peter encourages the suffering, scattered believers to put their faith and hope in God. Once we allow satan to take HOPE away from us, we will be LOST!

We HOPE in the coming of our Lord, and He will come!

When will He come?

At the appointed time!

Have a blessed day! No more complaints, only praises and thanks!!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for all the plans you have for me, and they are the best-whether it is in connection with my life, work, family or ministry. I know you are in charge, and that you always do the right thing at the right time. Amen

“Get closer to God and His plans will work for us; or get closer to satan, and his plans will work. The choice is ours”
