Today: Love so real, so deep


Passage: Eph 3


And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.  (Eph 3, Amp)-emphasis added


The love of Christ is too deep that it will be very difficult for us to grasp the full nature of that love. We cannot compare it to any love, in the world

As the degree of love gets cold in the world, the love of Christ never gets cold


1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them (2 Tim 3, NIV 84)


The love within the family gets weaker as times pass by; fifty years back, the affection within the families were much stronger than it is today

Men used to work mostly; women took care of the home

Media was mostly news paper and stuff like that.

Families used to sit together and had food and prayer together; it was no instant food or instant prayer

People would go to church walking miles and miles

Today, as we have cars and many other facilities, our connection to God and people is so less; we choose to build our own bubble/world around us, and to mind our own business, as if we are the only people in the world!

Many people are fed up with Churches and organizations because of various factors like politics and power struggle

In the midst of all this, Christ is calling with His love, which has never got cold

God continues to love us, and He continues to be faithful

Apostle Paul understood the various aspects/dimensions of Christ’s love-the love because of which many people sacrificed their lives, jobs and so many other things


35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:  “For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[l] 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[m] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.


The Love of Christ is powerful than anything else; that is where we find true and inexhaustible love

May God help us understand the love of Christ in a better way; Amen
