Today: When “No” becomes “Now”!

Passage: Exodus 3

21 And I will make the Egyptians favorably disposed toward this people, so that when you leave you will not go empty-handed. (Ex 3:21, NIV 84)-emphasis added

11 The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent. (Ex 33: 11, NIV 84)

Both Moses and Joshua “won” God’s favor

And God made them get the favor from the Egyptians too!

Years back, while I was in the college, about 30 of us had to go to Chennai (S. India) to attend a yearly national students’ meet called “NASA”

We needed about 30 seats or so, and the trains were full!

Me and my friend Jerry prayerfully went to the railway divisional head and presented the matter. We also had to get some papers approved from the Kerala Govt. Secretariat- a grant for the Professor

When we left the office of the Railway Manager Titus Koshy, he did not give us any promise; instead he told us, he will see if there was anything he could do

When we arrived at the central train station, we found an “extra coach” added to the train (Madras mail). Jerry came straight from the Secretariat with the grant check for the Professor, just before the train’s departure!

All we did was that we got together and prayed!

When we hand-over things to God, it may look like it is getting delayed, but it will be “quick” when it happens

Israelites were given permission by Pharaoh, in the middle of the night. Pharaoh told them, “leave right now”

So far, it was “No”; now, it is “Now”! (Ex 12:31) Can you believe that?!

Do you believe God can do the same for you too?

The battle belongs to the Lord, when we hand it over to Him

3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false.
Though it linger, wait for it; it[c] will certainly come and will not delay. (Habakkuk 2: 3, NIV 84)

Are you tired of praying for something and “nothing” happening?

First, take your eyes “off” the thing you are praying about

Focus on God instead, if possible. Then God will do it, in His way and time

When He does it, He will do it quickly

Give God some thanks, praises and worship, instead of filling that (five) minutes with requests, complaints and petitions alone!

God bless your day!
