Today: Did your “Spiritual”?
Passage: Exodus 3
21 And I will make the Egyptians favorably disposed toward this people, so that when you leave you will not go empty-handed. (Ex 3:21, NIV 84)
11 The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent. (Ex 33: 11, NIV 84)
When God is your friend, He can make even your enemies, your friends!
God was in favor of Israelites. So God made Egyptians show favor to them
When you go after others and to win their favor, you are going away from God
But when you are after God to please Him and to win His favor, God will turn the hearts of people in favor of you
When that happens, no one can take credit, except God
We should not owe anything to anybody other than God, as far as possible!
Whenever we go after people for their favor, there is some “cost” we pay for that, later
When a man’s ways are pleasing to the LORD, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.
(Prov 16:7, NIV 84)
How can we get God on our side?
Our ways should be pleasing to the Lord
We need to know His will and way, by intimacy with God through prayer and meditation of His word
We need to surrender all our plans and projects to God first
After “driving” for 50, 60 and 70 years, on this earth, I have seen people saying, “I should have done that” or, “I shouldn’t have done this”!
When the doctor tells us, “you are on the border line” for BP or diabetes or so when we go for a “Physical” (check up), we better take control of that
10 years from now, we can be in a better position, if we do that
In the same way, we need to go to God for a “Spiritual” and know if we are on the “border line” for something
Earlier we do that, the better it will be. If we want to keep God as our friend, we cannot ignore what He says
If a person who is a heavy smoker wants to make a good friend with a person who hates smoking, that person may need to “divorce” smoking first
“You can’t have both together”
Is there anything in you that prevents you from God being your best friend?
Do your “Spiritual” today!
God bless you
