Today: See something; say something!
Passage: Rev 1, 1 John 1
10 On the Lord’s Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet, 11 which said: “Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.” (Rev 1:10-11, NIV 84-emphasis added)
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.(1 John 1:1, NIV 84 ) emphasis added
We cannot witness what we haven’t seen
If we do that, that will be false witness
The greatest problem in the mission field today is that we have many “witnesses” who never had a personal (vision) experience with Jesus Christ; on the other hand, many who had such an experience are not proclaiming it!
When John was in the Island of Patmos, he was all focused on God.
Sometimes God takes us to such “special places”, where all that God wants is to look at Him and hear from Him. But instead, we start complaining and grumbling, call whichever minister/prophet on the phone and miss the great things God has for us, personally
Those lonely, wilderness experience you are going through/ever went before was allowed by God so that you will run to Him and spent time with Him
14 “Therefore I am now going to allure her; I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her. 15 There I will give her back her vineyards, and will make the Valley of Achor[a] a door of hope. (Hosea 2:14, NIV 84-emphasis added)
Next time, when you get into that “special place”, don’t waste that great opportunity. Instead, run to God like a little child running to her dad and hugging Him, saying “Dad, thank you. I want to spend some time with you”
Then, after you finish your time with your Dad, you can declare to others, about your personal experience. Let them also run to Dad and do the same!
Paul made sure that whenever He preached, he received it from the Lord. He never made-up or cooked up anything. He just received it from the Lord and “rightly divided it”, like a waiter in the restaurant
In many churches today people are spiritually sick and weak because of malnutrition and lack of food (word)
When Jesus fed people with spiritual as well as physical food, He made sure that they got the right food, and got it stomach-full!
People ran to Jesus and filled places. They were willing to sit at His feet for days. You know the secret why?
49 For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it. (John 12: 49, NIV 84)
But don’t just depend preaching in the Church or elsewhere, for getting our spiritual food. We have the word in our hands. We need to read it prayerfully and receive our nourishment so that our spiritual man will not die, but stay alive and well
God bless you

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to see you better, speak with you better and listen to you better so that I can speak/write about you better. Amen
