Today: When “Jerusalem” greets “Babylon”

 Passage:  Rev 18:4 NIV

4 Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “‘Come out of her, my people,’[b]
   so that you will not share in her sins,  so that you will not receive any of her plagues;

Jerusalem in the spiritual sense stands for the city of God/ the church; Babylon- for the city of satan/ the powers and principalities that rule the world

When Jerusalem greets Babylon, it becomes dangerous

There is a power that works behind the systems that control this world

While most people are not aware of it, the Bible makes it very clear

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.(Eph 6:12, NIV)

The common enemy of the true church of Jesus Christ has his presence down here in the world and also in the heavenly realms

So, the true Christian will have to deal with the visible and the invisible powers

Sadly, the apparent Church has embraced Babylon so much that it has become difficult to separate them

You can see how the Church is modifying their rules and structure so that it can accommodate the world systems in it

When pleasing people becomes a priority, God just moves out of the way

Babylon has its way, even in the church

Those who want to r4eally live a Godly life will be isolated even within the Church

I am talking about what is going on in general

There are few here and there that stand on the principles of the word of God

If Christ is the head, then everything in the church has to be according to His will

See how Babylon contrasts with the new Jerusalem

5 The name written on her forehead was a mystery:

BABYLON THE GREAT   THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES

AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. (Rev. 17: 5, NIV)

2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband (Rev 21: 2, NIV)

This is just the tip of the ice-berg

Jerusalem vs Babylon is a big topic, a very practical reality

Satan has been successful in blinding the eyes of many Christian leaders and gaining access for Babylon, into the Church

There are some people in these churches, who are part of the true church-the body of Christ

The other day, I was telling somebody that God is not about denominations

“May be only 10% of Pentecostals will make it in the rapture”- I said

All that glitters is not gold; what we have today is mostly an appearance of Godliness; true Godliness is hidden; real pearls are found deep under the water

When children study science, they always deal with the apparent and true

Apparent is what we see and judge with our eyes; but the real may be different from the apparent

When we see the Church embracing Babylon, stay away from such things

A perfect church – the new Jerusalem is going to be revealed – soon!

God bless you, in your journey, to stay away from Babylon

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I thank you for your sacrifice on the cross. You paid such a big price for your bride, the Church but the Church at large is again putting you back on the cross. Help me to stay away from crucifying you again. Amen
