Today: The miracle of the word
Passage: Ps 119:105 NIV
105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
The word of god is the road map for the believer
Without the word, the believer cannot do anything
5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5, 7, NIV-emphasis added)
7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
Abiding in Jesus is abiding in His word
Today, Church in America has mostly made a Bible of their own!
Many things are done differently from that which is in the word of God
For many, Church has become a house of business, than a house of worship or prayer
If Jesus ever happens to visit some of these churches, the results will be terrible
He will drive 95% of the people out!
The very leaders have become good entrepreneurs; they use better marketing techniques than some of the fortune 500 companies!
Holy Spirit is waiting outside, for an opportunity to come in
The believer is to live a life of faith, trusting in God and His word
The word of God is alive, active and powerful; The word of God is not a set of printed letters; it is way more than that
In the psalms, we see the psalmist waiting for the morning to come, so that he could meditate upon the word
Today, we are after technology and so many other things, having no time for God!
God is not afraid of technology; but we should be scared, for steeling God’s time and giving it to Caesar!
Feed on the word more often; it is in your phone, very close to you! (in most cases)
Browse it at least once in a day! Don’t starve your inner man please!
If the word of God is like a road map, the Holy Spirit will help you like a GPS, giving you the turn-by-turn directions
Again, the Holy Spirit is God, not a thing
To what extent do we use these free services God has given us?
Many a time, we are so scared as if we will get a big bill at the end of the month, if we use the help of God’s word the Holy Spirit
But the fact is that He (Jesus) paid it all in advance; we won’t have to pay a penny!
Isn’t that great?
If we don’t use this service for a long time, we will get a big bill; we will have to pay a huge price for not using God’s service at all!
16 But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?” 17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.(Rom 10: 16-17, NIV)
Read the word; it will build your faith
People in many villages in North India, who cannot even read the Bible, believe whatever word they hear, and act upon it
Everyday, we can hear miracle testimonies from them
The same God can work similar things for us, if we have the kind of faith they have; they have faith, and we have the Bibles; that is the difference
10 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.(Isa 55: 10-11, NIV-emphasis added)

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I thank you for your word. Thank you for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Help me to abide in you, day after day. Amen
