Today: The word in the world
Passage: John 1:14 NIV
14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only,[d] who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
God revealed Himself to us through Jesus
The word became flesh in the womb of Mary
He was the word in the world; the world hated Him
The word of God is God; the word is life and spirit (John 6:63)
God is Spirit (John 4:24) He is the word (John 1:1)
The word created everything; the word became life for Lazarus
The word became healing for the woman with the issue of blood and many others
Just as Jesus was physically in the world as the spoken word, He left His written word with us- the word full of grace and truth
We can know Him more and more every day, through His word
The more we know Him through the word, the more we will become like Him
The more will our life and ministry become like His
When we speak that word in the power of the Holy Spirit, people will come to know Jesus
The works that manifested through Jesus will be manifested
There will be healing, salvation and deliverance because the word is God
Speak the word with faith, in the anointing of the Holy Spirit
This word became salvation to the Samaritan woman
This word has touched many people in the form of songs
The other day, I was reading the testimony of a person
He accepted Jesus as his savior because of a Malayalam song, “Daivasneham Varnichidaan”…..meaning, words are not enough to explain the love of God
God told prophet Ezekiel to speak the word to the bones in the valley
When he did that, the bones came together and became an army
The power of the word is amazing
Did we know that the word is so powerful, when spoken in the power of the Spirit?
On the day of Pentecost, Peter full of the power of Holy Spirit spoke this word
Three thousand people came to a personal relationship with Jesus
Jesus is the God of creation; He is the word
Whenever I speak the word, even if it is only for a minute or two, I know that I am handling that which is Holy and powerful
So, I speak with the reverence for God and His presence
I may have lot of other stuff in my heart; but when I speak God’s word, it is not time for speaking my stuff. It is the time to speak God’s word
The word of God is also a double-edged sword. No one plays with a sword
A double edged sword is double dangerous to play with
When we speak of grace, we don’t forget truth; grace alone ministry can forget truth!
The presence of God is where we can get blessing as well as curse
Once, a couple agreed together to lie to the apostle about the value of the property they sold; they brought the money to the apostles
The Apostle knew they were lying. Both of them fell dead, one after the other
We cannot speak or do things our way, in the presence of God
Everyday, we see so many examples of how God is dealing with those people who chose to play with the things of God
You can see so many people doing things in the name of God, for selfish gains!
But God is watching; He will deal with each person accordingly
Thank God for His word and Spirit
Let it bring blessings in our life and that of others

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I thank you for giving us the written word and the Holy Spirit. I know that there is no power in the world that can surpass the power of your word. Help to read, understand and live the word, in this world. Amen
