Today: Stay connected!
Passage: Gal 4:6-7 NIV
6Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba,[a] Father.” 7So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.
When we became the children of God, He gave us the rights and the authority
12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13children born not of natural descent,[c] nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
(John 1:12-13, NIV)
God gave us the authority to use His name and His word
Our children use our home, car and even name, as their own
They know their rights and authority; they know their privileges
When God has given us rights and privileges as His children, all we have to do is to be careful not to use it our own way, but only God’s way
Until children become mature, they are brought up under the parent’s care and discipline
They have their freedom; they have their restrictions as well
Once mature, they are free; but the discipline they got as a child helps them throughout their life
6 Train [a] a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. (Prov 22:6, NIV)
Until Jesus came into the world, the people of God were under the law
Jesus came with the promise and with grace, brought them out of the law
1What I am saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. 2He is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. 3So also, when we were children, we were in slavery under the basic principles of the world. 4But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, 5to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. (Gal 4: 1-5, NIV)
Discipline at home and church still has its place
Apostle Paul took charge of discipline, with many of the churches of his time
He took the rod which is the word of God and worked hard, did everything to his best so that the church would not derail and go into sin
The path of the Christian, the path that leads to heaven, is a narrow one
There will be all sorts of temptation to walk the wide and easy one
Our children in schools and colleges face the most pressure
They need our prayers and our presence at home very much, more than our preaching and poking
The word of God should get into their hearts at a very young age
Once we do all that we can, we trust God to help them; pray for them and with them
They should neither become our idols nor strangers, as it happens in many cases
Keeping the connection is important; connection with God, spouse, children, family, people at work,………
Some people are too holy and stay away from everybody else, at work
That can hurt; we are called to build bridges and to maintain them in a good way
I was reading in my son’s textbook the other day:
Some migrating birds form a “V” path when they fly together to distant places
Forming that “V” helps them fly much more, than they can do independently!
We think, we can do more, when we are all by our self; wrong!
TEAM > Together Everyone Achieves More
May God help us to become successful in every thing we do; He is willing to help us through the way; He is willing to stay with us, as we stay together
God bless

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to stay connected with you and all that I need to be connected with. Thank you for your love and sacrifice. Help to share the love and forgiveness I received from you, as I deal with others at home, work,…… Amen
