Today: It’s time to pray-again!
Passage: John 10:10 NIV
10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Jesus came for a noble purpose-to give life and life abundant, through his death!
Yet only few identified and acknowledged him, during the days of his ministry- when he was visible to the human eyes
Much of the recognition came after he was gone-after his ascension
He himself had told that greater things will be done after the Holy Spirit comes
Jesus was not looking for recognition; he was focusing on accomplishing his task, which he did
It was accomplished on the cross; the son of man lived to die-for a noble cause
He came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8)
The children of God have the same responsibility
As we see lot of evil going on around us, it is time to get on our knees
Satan is not afraid of people running after power and positions
He is happy about such
But he is scared to see a child of God on his/her knees, in prayer
Last few days, New Yorkers have been hearing shocking news, almost every day
Shootings and killings; son killing parents; father killing children and so on…
What in the world is going on…?
Are you praying for the city you are living in? It doesn’t matter whether you are living in New York or somewhere else in the world; it is time to pray!
Devil is working round the clock; we are complaining about not getting enough sleep, after sleeping 5-6 hours or even more!
It is time to wake up; otherwise, it will be too late
These are wake-up calls for those who discern the times-for those with a prophetic vision; it is not the time to go on with our spiritual sleep and slumber
The only way to get the devil on his knees is that you and I get on our knees!
Prayer can do what the Police cannot do!
Many of us are nor praying enough because we don’t know the power of prayer!
If we had known the power of prayer-if we had known how dangerous the very place we are, we would have got on our knees long time back
Many a time, we take things for granted
“Everything is going cool; so, why should I worry-why should I pray more?”
It is only a feeling; the fact could be just the opposite
The thief comes at a time when everything looks normal and okay
He does not come with prior intimation
So, it is time to pray again
It is time to shut the mouth of the devil and to bind his hands
Let us not become the mouth and the hands for the devil
Instead, we must become the mouth that speaks for the Lord, and the hands that work for the Lord-pulling down the strongholds of the devil-building for God!

Prayer: Lord, I am sorry for my spiritual slumber and for taking things too light, when I should have been up praying. Give me the spirit of prayer, so that I can take victory over the powers of devil at work in my home, work, in the church and in the City. Amen
