Today: Called to seek and save the lost
Passage: Luke 19: 9-10 NIV
9Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. 10For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”
Zacheus was very rich. But one day, Jesus made his way into Zacheus’ house
Jesus lost a pretty good amount of His “image” that day, because he decided to go and stay with a sinner
But Jesus did not allow that loss of image to be in vain
He gained Zacheus into the kingdom of God; no loss, no gain
One of the jobs of a shepherd involves seeking and saving that which is lost
Once Jesus went through the town of Sychar in Samaria to seek and save a woman who was lost to a sinful life style
Another time, Jesus rescued a woman caught in sin, who was about to be stoned to death
What are we doing every day?
Just taking care of our belly and of others in the family?
We live at a very crucial point of time. Things will be very different tomorrow
If we live in a dreamland believing somebody’s forecast, the Bible says that the days ahead are not smooth but hard
In Ezekiel 14, God mentions about three saints: Noah, Daniel and Job
God also speaks about four different kinds of judgments that will come upon the people- sword, famine, wild beasts and plague
And God says that even if these three men are in those cities and they pray, God will only save them, not even their children, from the calamities
What does that mean?
God is not a cruel God; we know that
But it is time for each person to live a life pleasing to God, instead of living like people in Noah’s time-worried only about their own whereabouts
We give our children the best of everything. Are we giving them God?
God saved Noah and his family, but the children of Job died
Pray for our generation and don’t stop it until we see a change
How much are we concerned about the things that concern God?
In a day, how much time we spent for the things of God?
The people of this world sometimes do things that make more sense to God, than some of us
Wealthy people are giving away big chunks of their wealth to charity
Are we holding on to our 24 hours of time and all the money we have and saying, “I will not give much of my time, money and skills to God”?
Who is the looser – God or ourself?
One of the greatest gains in my life is being able to spend some time everyday, preparing these messages and sending them out
It is like a chef going to the kitchen and cooking some food, and then transferring it to the right dishes and serving it to the people, so that they can eat and be blessed and strengthened
I ask God for each day’s message and He gives the topic and the directions
I do my part of the Job; God does His
What is your plan for your future? Do you consult/involve God?
May be He has a plan drafted and ready to hand out to you
He was waiting all this time, to hear from you asking: “Lord, do you have a plan for me; if so, what is that plan?”
God wants you to be part of His team
He wants you to be in the “Ask-Seek-Knock Team”, the ASK team
We are living in a vey critical, significant time
It is time for the Master’s arrival. What are we doing about it?
God bless you and talk to you this week end. He needs more of you
Be a blessing to someone today

Prayer: Lord, make me an instrument of your love and purpose, in this world. Let me take your message out to others and see them blessed. Help me to be part of your team and mission. Amen
