When the wrong way looks O.K

Welcome!

Date: Monday,

Today: When the wrong way looks O.K

Passage: Ps 25: 4-5 NIV

4 Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths;

5 guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

The air-plane has a specific path in the air

The fish of the sea has its own path in the water

On the land, we know what happens when somebody does not keep their path/lane on the road

About a year back, there was a terrible accident where 8 people died in a crash incident

A vehicle somehow got into the opposite lane/direction and crashed onto another vehicle

The driver of that vehicle didn’t probably know that, but everybody else could see that this vehicle was moving in the wrong direction!

The cost of not going along the way and direction designated for you is so much that it is not only you who get hurt, but others also get hurt!

When Elimelech took his family to Moab, the whole family suffered (Book of Ruth)

When Jonah took the wrong trip, he gave trouble to the people in the ship

It is very important to re-search our ways

God sometimes speaks to us through unexpected people and incidents

We may not take it that serious

But we need to be able to sense it, when God speaks

When we are expecting God’s voice from a preacher or a Pastor, it may be through the memory verse spoken by a child, that God’s message comes to you

The Bible says that God will speak through the mouths of the little ones

Sometimes, a young man or woman may stand up and speak God’s message for the Church

If people do not recognize the voice of God, they will pay a price for it

God says, God invested so much in His people-Israel, it, but all He got was wild fruit!

2 He dug it up and cleared it of stones and planted it with the choicest vines.
He built a watchtower in it and cut out a winepress as well.
Then he looked for a crop of good grapes, but it yielded only bad fruit. (Isaiah 5: 2, NIV)

You are an investment of God, on earth. In your work place, in your home, you are God’s investment

Can God feel proud of you?

Or, is He hurting because of you?

If we are not an asset to God, then we are nothing but a liability!

Examine ourselves. Walk in the ways of God

All of our choices may not be according to His will (Prov 16:25)

Are we willing to come back all the way we went wrong, and walk in His ways?

It is not just enough to say “sorry” Lord; we need to correct what we did wrong

When Joshua and Israelites failed in taking over the City of Ai, they found there was a man named Achan who did something wrong (Joshua 7)

All their prayers and cries did not work, until they took care of the problem

Is there any area in our life where we keep praying and crying and nothing is happening?

Go back and take care of the mistake. If you don’t know what it is, ask God; he will show you

God bless you

Prayer: Lord, I am sorry for walking in my own ways and still calling myself a child of God. I need brokenness to accept your ways over mine; give me that brokenness. Amen
