Today: Pray or Pay!
Passage: Ps 55: 9-11 NIV
9 Confuse the wicked, O Lord, confound their speech, for I see violence and strife in the city.
10 Day and night they prowl about on its walls; malice and abuse are within it.
11 Destructive forces are at work in the city; threats and lies never leave its streets.
If we will open our eyes and look, one thing is clear
The earth as well as its inhabitants are becoming violent
Natural disasters as well as crimes are on the increase
Everyday, we hear more and more bad news
Lot of people get sick and many die of various diseases
The coming of the Lord is at hand
There is so much to be done
When we see sin on the increase, we need to pray more
Our prayers are powerful. Prayer works.
Are you worried about your finance, children, work or anything?
How and how much did you pray about it?
A person who bows down before God will not have to bow down before anybody else
It may look really impossible. But prayer will change the way things are
When God decides to open a way, who can close it? No body!
Satan will try his best to hinder every blessing of God’s children
He tried to block the blessing of Daniel, even though God sent the answer from Heaven. That’s why it is important to pray and have a knowledge of the various powers including the prince of the land, that will try to block our answers (Daniel 12:12-14)
If we don’t give God the glory due unto him, He will make our heads come low
God has done so much of good things for us
Some of you may be in a state of complaining to God because of what you are going through
You may be asking, “why me?”
The Lord has an answer to every question of ours
But it is more important to live everyday thanking and praising God, regardless of what we are going through
I see many people running after other people who are gifted
It is true that God has blessed some people with gifts and talents
But did you ever sit and pray that the same God who anointed them would anoint you also?
There is a big need and scarcity for spiritually rich people
So many people are in need of being ministered unto
We go after “Elijah”s and “Elisha”s, not after the God of Elijah and Elisha!
How many years has it been, that we are running after people?
Why haven’t we grown in the area of spiritual gifts and teaching?
Because our prayer life and Bible study are so weak!
We have to first spent time with the Lord, before doing anything for Him
God is NOT too much delighted with too much of doing; He is interested in “being” with Him, before “doing” so much in His name
To a group of people who did SO much in His name, Jesus said, “I don’t even know you”
We need to commit more time for prayer and study of the word of God
No excuse
If we don’t pray, we will pay big time
Pray in the spirit; sing in the spirit (1 Cor 14:14-17)
Let God alone understand what we say, and not the devil!
Like Mordecai said to Esther, this is the time to pray and act
If we don’t, God will bring deliverance through somebody else, but we will pay!

Prayer: Lord, help me to understand my responsibility in praying for the land. I know that prayer works, and that it can bring down evil and crime in the land. Thank you in advance, for helping me to pray. Amen
