Today: A time for everything!

Passage: Eccl 3: 1-4 NIV

A Time for Everything

1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

2 a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,

God does everything by His time-table

If you look at God and the ways God does things, there is so much to learn

God is very organized in what he does

He does everything at the appropriate time

In creation, God had a time-table

Different people argue about the actual time and interval between each “day” in Gen 1 (&2), but what is interesting to me is that God divided his activities into six portions and did a specific thing on each day

While feeding the five thousand, Jesus told the disciples to seat them in groups of fifty, before starting to feed them

When Israel (Jacob and his family) went to Egypt, God had specifically spoken a time of four hundred years in Egypt

When the captivity of Israel under Babylon and Assyria occurred in the 6th/7th century BC, God had determined time-frames

When Jesus came into this world, he came at the exact time appointed

He is going to come again, at his appointed time

But one thing I observed, regarding God’s time

The time of God could be related to man’s action/faith also

In the wedding at Cana, Jesus first told Mary that it was not yet his time

But then, we see Jesus performing the miraculous act

What happened all of a sudden?

Mary’s faith and the action related to it!

Our faith, prayer and action can influence God’s time!

When Lazarus died, Jesus came, but only at His time

Sometimes, God changes His very decisions for judgment

When the people of Nineveh cried, God removed the punishment that was going to happen to them

God said to Solomon that God will change his decision of judgment for those who sincerely repent of their sins, to God (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Sometimes, we might have been praying and waiting for something

In God’s time, He will do it

27 Why do you say, O Jacob, and complain, O Israel,
“My way is hidden from the LORD; my cause is disregarded by my God”?

31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40: 27, 31 – NIV)

Waiting for the Lord, thanking Home every day, is the key!

Satan will try to block every blessing of God’s children and try to attack them

But God’s plans are for our blessing and the best

God bless you

Prayer: Lord, help me to understand that you care. Sometimes, I have become discouraged and hopeless. Sorry for my doubt and unbelief. Help me to always trust in you and your goodness. Amen
