Today: A matter of life and death
Passage: Rom 8: 5-6 NIV
5Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
6The mind of sinful man[e] is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace;
Apostle Paul brings to light, the difference between the “flesh” and the Spirit
He says, the difference is the difference between death and life!
Most people do not want to see it that way
A “mix” of both is what most people want
But the Bible is very clear: it is not possible to live a life of sin and a life in the Spirit of God, at the same time
You cannot have acts that lead to death and acts that lead to life going on simultaneously
Such people will be forced to select either one
God does not like Luke-warms, because finally, there are only two places-heaven and hell. No third place!
Some people do not believe in a literal heaven and hell
We can not do anything to convince them until they reach there
I am talking about people within the church
Some do not believe in the account of creation, mentioned in the first pages of the Bible; they have their own reasons…….!
If the Bible was only partially correct, it could not have stood so powerful, as it is today!
I believe in the infallibility and inerrancy of the whole word of God
Whether God created the universe in six literal days or if they were a thousand years apart from each other, does not bother me
The word of God is powerful and true
Each incident including the flood during Noah’s time, the fact that Jonah remained in the belly of the fish, are all attested by science in one way or other
But that is not why I believe them
I have seen God working real miracles
He saved my life from death, when doctors said there is no hope
He did similar miracles for my family
The devil tried all he could but God was and is more powerful than the devil
I experience the presence of God every day
I have seen a friend of mine who used to smoke and drink, turn to Christ and stop all of that in one day! He had no problems in his body doing that!
Jesus is real. The Bible is true
The world is full of injustice and people become more and more selfish, day after day. Jesus is our example and role model for sacrifice and love
He left the splendor of heaven, emptied himself and came down for us
Lived among the people died and resurrected
Today He is living and interceding for you and for me
He is available to all who call upon Him in faith
He is able to save us from the power of sin
He wants us to go to Him for help, because he alone can help us with this issue of sin
There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ (Rom 8:1)
